This is a comprehensive molecular and cell biology course. It is good for those who are willing to go in healthcare related field. This course is for high school, undergraduate, graduate, pre-med, pre-dental, or nursing students. Students who are taking the A/P course can also use this course. Although there is no prerequisite for this course, having basic science and basic biology knowledge can accelerate learning. Anyone who is also preparing for a competitive exam, such as DAT or MCAT, can take this course. This course emphasizes very high-yield information. The method of teaching in this course is through pre-recorded lectures and PowerPoint slides. It emphasizes on high yield material by using pictures, which allows students to visualize the content and retain information.
In the very first video, students will learn about the microstructure of DNA and the constituents of DNA. In this course, students will also learn about the NA replication process and how different enzymes are present and their roles, different phases of the cell cycle and how they are regulated, transcription, translation, mitosis, and meiosis ,and the key differences between these processes. By the end of this course, students should be able to understand how these processes occur.
